WH Ireland has a full service institutional sales capability, with a specialisation in smaller companies, rather than mainstream trading in FTSE 100 stocks.
Since the team was reformed in September 2010, the company has raised nearly £100m of new equity in sectors ranging from oil, mining and technology to manufacturing and even aircraft leasing.
Our six institutional salesmen, headed by Jasper Berry, have access to major UK and European Asset Management Institutions. Operating in conjunction with our forty private client advisers, we have a very powerful sales and capital raising offering for the UK small/mid cap market.
Whether the capital raise is for a private company, pre IPO, IPO or Secondary Raising we produce presentations, organise road shows and generate the required funding. In terms of client contact one salesman is solely responsible for each client, rather than operating under a vague corporate broking umbrella structure. Whilst it is very much a team effort, each corporate client will be assigned a dedicated corporate salesman.
WH Ireland has access to very wide sources of financing, from mainstream UK and overseas institutions, family offices, private client stockbrokers and high net worth individuals, as well as our own in-house clients. We see many companies seeking capital and cherry pick those with the best management and growth prospects. We take pride in what we regard as a significantly above average track record of returns on the transactions we undertake.

Investors should be aware that past performance is not necessarily a guide to the future and that the price of shares and other investments, and the income derived from them, may fall as well as rise and the amount realised may be less than the original sum invested. Some securities carry a greater risk than others. Clients are advised to contact their investment advisor as to the suitability of each recommendation for their own circumstances before taking any action.
