Research

Research

Our aim is to serve our institutional and corporate clients by delivering robust, insightful and original investment research. Comprehensive, high quality and timely equity research is a key component of our Corporate Broking service.

Broad sector coverage

Coverage is wide ranging, from gold mining companies in the South Pacific, to UK software and hardware companies. Our expertise and experience is in mining, oil and gas, support services, industrials, biotechnology and technology sectors remains core to the business.

A focus on smaller companies

Delivered through early morning comments, company stock notes and sector pieces our research is focused on the small to mid-capitalisation constituents of the FTSE AIM and FTSE All-Share. This is where we believe the greatest returns can be derived.

Analysts tend to have previous industry experience in the sectors which they cover. This is invaluable; enabling analysts to fully understand the technical nuances, and thus drivers, of the company under coverage, which in turn enables the production of research that conveys a distinct, understandable and often compelling investment case.

Broad distribution

Good research is worthless without a powerful distribution network. Research is therefore distributed to UK institutional investors as well as, and almost uniquely, to the many private client advisory networks around the UK. Put simply, the wider a story is communicated, the greater the chance of driving liquidity.

Sectors covered include:
