Corporate Broking

Corporate Broking

Our Corporate Broking department is responsible for raising funds for corporate clients and for maintaining an orderly market in the shares of the underlying corporate client. We have expertise in various sectors, including in particular, the mining and resources sectors.

Our area of specialism is to act for clients undertaking equity fundraisings at the time of flotation on AIM. We also raise funds for clients in the aftermarket once admitted to AIM or once listed on the Official List. Fundraisings may take place to assist in our clients expansion plans or also for additional working capital to fund acquisitions or repay debt.

The team works closely with our research analysts, as our clients research is disseminated to both professional and retail clients as well as to the press and other interested parties.

We have a wide institutional client base to raise funds from, as well as a large source of retail clients from which to assist in fund raisings.

WH Ireland Corporate Broking in London is headed by Philip Haydn-Slater. Philip has worked for 15 years broking stocks to UK and European institutions. Previously he headed up the Australian desk for ABN Amro in London when it managed the Telstra Flotation (European tranche). He has also worked for Bain & Co in Sydney, broking institutional equities to domestic institutions for two and a half years, before returning to London to work for James Capel on the Australian desk.
